Junior and Karlson (with English subtitles). Part 1

Soyuzmultfilm,1968
Based on Astrid Lidgren's story "Karlson on the roof" (Karlsson på taket).

Karlson was voiced by Vasiliy Livanov, Russian actor who received the Order of the British Empire of the second degree for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the series filmed by Soviet TV in 1970's - 1980's.

It is rather interesting that while the book enjoyed huge popularity in Russia it was banned in some libraries and schools in USA as it was thought that "Karlson might incite young children to disobey authority and mistrust and fear babysitters."

For no particular reason (with English subtitles)

Soyuzmultfilm,1976 For kids.
As always the Soviet Union cartoons are very very full of pure nice feelings.
As pleasantly get in gift flower or smile - simply so.
"This me? А for that? - Simply so!"

There Once Was A Dog( with English subtitles)

Soyuzmultfilm,1982 Director: A. Nazarov
The film belongs to a collection of "Masters of Russian Animation" (DVD, Volume 3), called "There Once Was A Dog".
The film is about how to meet the old wolf in the woods and an old dog: "You help me, and I will help you".

He went on screens in 1982, instantly became the favorite of all age groups and was immediately divided on the quotation.
" There Once Was A Dog " one of the most detailed, sharp and good cartoon that I have ever seen. Under the detail I mean not the image and vital points. It is they who give extraordinary and emotional warmth.

I believe the Soviet "Nutcracker" is much better than Disney. Let it not such a colourful, but much more humane, kinder, warmer. And when you watch and listen to dance - just want to cry from the beautiful melodies and the overflow of emotions.

cartoon heroes Hedgehog

Is a beautiful, lyrical and deceptively simple animated story of how a curious little hedgehog takes a detour through the mysterious fog on the way to see his friend, the little bear, gets lost and then finds his way out again. But there is much, much more in this little movie than just that.
